Cadet/NCO of the Month

 

Scope:  These procedures are applicable to all units within the Cadet Corps.

 

Objectives: Designed to:

A: Improve individual cadet basic skills.

B: Foster healthy intra/inter-unit competition.

C: Provide cadet leaders an opportunity to sharpen the skills of competing cadets.

D: Provide recognition for outstanding cadets.

 

General: Company Commanders will competitively select from their unit’s cadets to appear before the Battalion Cadet of the Month Board. Each Company Commander may send up to two cadets and one NCO as well as on alternate for each for this competition, one Cadet per Company.

Requirements:

A:  Individual appearance in: uniform, brass, haircut, military knowledge, military bearing, haircut/shave, current events, attitude, and conduct.

B: Have knowledge of the contents of the JROTC Cadet Guide SOP.

           

Procedures:

A: Company commanders pick best cadet from company.

B: Cadets are inspected by the Battalion CSM and at least two other higher ranking members of the Battalion.

C: Cadets are inspected on uniform, shave, haircut, brass, current events, military knowledge and bearing, attitude, and conduct.

 

Awards:

A: Winning Individual will receive an Eagle Head Trophy with their name and the month they won.

B: Winning Individual will receive a savings bond.

-50 dollars for a month

-100 dollars for a year
