COURSE TITLE: SHOW CHOIR

PREREQUISITE(S): Eligible by audition only.
FINANCIAL OBLIGATION: $25.00 costume fee plus participation in fundraisers

PLACEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS: This class is for the student interested in developing performance skills and being ambassadors for both the school and community.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course provides development of musical skills using good vocal technique and choreography. Active participation in rehearsals is required to prepare the show tunes and pop music for performances. Students will memorize and be able to sing the voice part independently.
COURSE TITLE: CHORAL MUSIC/MIXED CHORUS – SPRING
LENGTH: ONE TERM (18 weeks) CREDIT: 1.0
PREREQUISITE(S): Audition and approval of choral director.
FINANCIAL OBLIGATION: $15.00 per term.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Purchase of concert uniform, participation in choral festivals and concerts.
PLACEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS: A fine arts credit is required for graduation, and when successfully completed, this course will meet that requirement. This course, along with Choral Music - Fall, is designed to be taken both terms within the same academic year. However, the option is available to take only one (1) term, providing all approvals are met prior to enrollment.
COURSE DESCRIPTIONS: It is designed to further develop the students’ talents through rehearsal and performance of the finest in choral music. Participation in the school musical is an important aspect of the year’s activities.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Purchase of concert uniform, performing at community events and choral competition.
PLACEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS: SAME AS ABOVE
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Attention to advanced performance technique through a variety of pieces will prepare the class for competition and performance.
