POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

TITLE: Substitute Bus Drivers

LOCATION: Ozark City Schools

QUALIFICATIONS:
(1) Completion of eighth grade. High school diploma preferred.
(2) Valid Alabama Class “B” Commercial Driver’s license (CDL) with passenger endorsement and verification of an acceptable driving record through the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
(3) Minimum of five (5) years licensed driving experience.
(4) Successful completion of driver’s training course meeting state and federal standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of highway and traffic safety. Ability to operate light and/or heavy-duty buses in a safe and economical way. Ability to understand and carry out both written and oral directions. Ability to exercise appropriate disciplinary techniques. Ability to follow a daily routing schedule. Ability to relate and communicate effectively with parents, students and school personnel. Ability to tolerate highly stressful situations. Ability to pass a physical exam as required by Alabama State Board of Education Administrative rules. Must possess the ability to transport students in a safe, efficient and timely manner.

SALARY RANGE: $42.00 per day

QUALIFICATIONS:
Training in computer electronics, networking and technology.
Experience in some or all of the above.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ABILITIES:
Knowledge of computing hardware and software. Knowledge of operating systems and networks. Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to conduct workshops and training. Ability to maintain, repair and service a variety of technology equipment.

Position will be for the 2012 - 2013 school year

SALARY RANGE: Commensurate upon degree, training, certification and experience
